I’m delighted to be accompanying Melanie Wilsden, principal oboist for the North Carolina Symphony, next week in a recital at Smedes Parlor, St. Mary’s School in Raleigh. We’re playing some really interesting music, featuring the Dutilleux Sonata for Piano and Oboe, and the Quartetto by Amilcare Ponchielli. We will be joined for the Quartetto by more woodwinds from the NC Symphony–Mike Cyzewski, Samuel Almaguer, and Anne Whaley Laney. It’s a fun piece!
Admission is free. I hope you can come and invite friends.
